VIC Single-Use Plastic Bans
The Victoria single-use plastic stage one ban will come into effect on 1 February 2023. The stage one ban covers; plastic drinking straws, plastic cutlery (including knives, forks, spoons, chopsticks, sporks, splades, food picks, and sporks), plastic plates, plastic stirrers, including PLA compostable versions of these items. The ban also covers expanded polystyrene food and drinks containers, including plates, cups, bowls, clamshells, covers, and lids.
